Welcome to The Garden House, a charming retreat nestled in the heart of the quintessential village of Norton St Philip. Located between Bath and Frome, this private hideaway is set within the grounds of The Malthouse but offers complete seclusion. The property comes with its own garden and orchard and is decorated with style throughout by the architect owners. Additionally, the Garden House also has breathtaking views of the Church of St Philip and St James.
The Garden House has private parking for 1 car and 1 dog is allowed on request. Unfortunately, we feel the Garden House is not suitable for children due to some retro features of the property.
The ground floor is thoughtfully designed by architects and features a bright and spacious living area with full-length windows! As a result, the garden is on view at all times, alongside a wood burner and a Smart TV. Steps lead up to the well-appointed kitchen and spacious dining area, along with the family bathroom.
There is underfloor heating throughout the whole of the ground floor.
The retro and stylish living room has been designed with comfort in mind and has direct access to the garden via large french doors. The Wood Burner will keep you and your guests warm and comfortable on those colder evenings (initial fuel for this is included).
Steps from the living room lead up to the kitchen and dining room, providing everything you need if you’re looking to cook and entertain. Guests have access to a dishwasher, electric oven and hob and fridge/freezer and the huge dining table certainly provides ample seating space.
The downstairs shower room is essentially a wet room providing a walk in shower with a bright and modern feel. Towels can be kept warm and dry on the heated towel rail and you have access to the boiler and washing machine here too.
Make your way up from the ground floor via a retro designed set of steps to the double bedroom and gallied area. Here we ask that you be careful as there are no railings on the staircase and mind your head on the beams!
The main king size bedroom will be to your left and the gallied area to the right is available with 2 x single beds on request. These can be made into a double bed if required. If only one bedroom is required then the 2 x single beds in the gallied area will be converted into a comfortable and relaxing seating area for you to enjoy.
The first floor provides a unique and comfortable experience with access to plenty of reading materials throughout the property. Wifi is also provided.
The 2 bedrooms have electric heating and windows in the eves and all bed linen and towels are provided.
